{loadposition adposition5}Overview
Netcat - is a program which can both read and write to tcp/udp ports and can be used to open communication channels with remote clients across network firewalls. and effectively transfer data or send commands across networks. When Netcat is used on a network host to bind a command prompt to a listening port, it can then be transferred to a connecting host creating a "bind shell" or a "reverse bind shell" thus providing an outsider with a remote command shell.
Week 3 Assignment
